Celtic have been very successful with their recruitment in recent times. A number of players have arrived at the club over the course of the previous four transfer windows and gone on to become household names. Sooner or later, a number of them are expected to be on their way out and we saw the start of that last month.

Josip Juranovic had been a nailed on starter for Celtic ever since he arrived from Legia Warsaw in the summer of 2021. And after enjoying a superb World Cup campaign as well, as Croatia finished third at the tournament, he completed a Parkhead exit and joined Union Berlin.

On the other hand, Giorgos Giakoumakis is expected to be on his way out soon as well, although an exit did not materialise in January. The transfer window in other parts of the world is still open. He has been linked with Urawa Red Diamonds of the J League and Atlanta United of MLS.

Another Celtic player who has been drawing a lot of interest lately is Liel Abada, it looks like clubs might be eyeing a move for him next summer.

As tweeted out by Ekrem Konur, Southampton are likely to renew their interest in Abada in the summer after discussing him as a January transfer window option.

Abada has been a superb find for Celtic. He arrived at the club as a teenager and made an impact immediately. He might not be a nailed on starter yet, but his efficiency and numbers in front of goal remain stellar.

The problem for Southampton right now would be to stay up in the Premier League. At the moment, they sit at the bottom of the table and are looking very likely to be relegated at the end of the season.
