Celtic have been much busier this month, both in terms of players arriving and leaving, than most people could have anticipated. Of course, we all know the four signings that the Hoops have made in the January transfer window in the form of Yuki Kobayashi, Tomoki Iwata, Alistair Johnston and Oh Hyeon-gyu.

On the other hand, there have been exits as well. Josip Juranovic left for Union Berlin, after being linked with some of the biggest clubs in Europe. On the other hand, Scott Robertson has completed a move to Fleetwood Town, where he has reunited with Scott Brown, currently the manager of the English League One side.

Giorgos Giakoumakis is expected to head out as well, with Atlanta United and Urawa Red Diamonds in the running to sign him. And it appears that a highly rated Celtic youth player is on his way out too.

As reported by the Daily Record, Eseosa Sule has decided to move to the English Championship after Celtic accepted an offer from West Bromwich Albion. The youngster travelled down south this afternoon to put pen to paper on a deal with The Baggies.

Sule has been very highly rated while coming through the ranks at Celtic and it is a blow to see him leave the club before ever making an impact in the senior team.

West Brom currently find themselves sitting at 10th in the English Championship table. And while Sule is not expected to make an immediate impact on their side, he could be a great long-term addition for the club.

Of course, this continues Celtic’s problem with bringing through young players in recent years, as a number of them have headed down south instead of breaking through at Parkhead. The most high profile of them was Ben Doak, who has already made his debut for Liverpool at just 17.
