Celtic have already strengthened their ranks up top by completing the signing of Oh Hyeon-gyu from Suwon Samsung Bluewings. The 21-year-old was one of the most highly-rated strikers coming through the ranks in the K League and has already appeared for the South Korea national team as well. Thus, the Hoops fans should be happy with the addition.

On the other hand though, with one striker coming in, another is expected to head out of the Parkhead exit door. Giorgos Giakoumakis has been linked with a move away for weeks and if recent rumours are to be believed, a switch to MLS side Atlanta United is not too far away for the Greek international.

That would leave Celtic with only two recognised forwards in the form of Kyogo and Oh. And it must be remembered that this is the South Korean striker’s first taste of European football, and it will be interesting to see if he can replace the impact of someone like Giakoumakis.

There have been some suggestions that Celtic should try to bring in another striker in the ongoing window, and one player that they have been linked with is Kevin Nisbet. But it looks like the Hibernian star could be headed down South instead.

As reported by STV News, Millwall saw an initial bid for Nisbet of £1.1 million rejected by Hibernian but have now returned with a new deal. Including add-ons, it would see the Easter Road side receive more than £2 million.

Now, it remains to be seen if Hibernian would let their star forward leave in the middle of the season.

Nisbet has been in stunning form since returning from a long-term injury. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 7 goals and provided 1 assist in 6 appearances in the Premiership this season.

And while Celtic have been linked with the Scottish international, it is unclear whether they have any plans of making an attempt to sign him, especially after signing Oh.
