Everton find themselves in a difficult position right now. The Toffees had done well to avoid relegation last season, with a lot of the credit going to Frank Lampard. The hope would have been that they would improve this time around. That has not been the case though and the Merseyside club find themselves in a struggle to stay up in the Premier League once again. Thankfully, it looks like Celtic might not have anything to worry about.

Lampard has been shown the exit door by Everton, following their poor run of form. The club seem to be hoping that a managerial change in the middle of the season will help them avoid relegation for the second season running.

It remains to be seen if that works out or not, but the worry for Celtic fans would have been that the club would make a move for Ange Postecoglou.

Thankfully, all signs seem to be pointing in a different direction and Sean Dyche appears to be the early favourite to get the Everton job. Other names like Wayne Rooney, David Moyes and Marcelo Bielsa are doing the rounds as well. But one that is not is that of Postecoglou.

Thus, it looks like Postecoglou is not one of the frontrunners for the Everton job, despite having been linked with the club in the past.

Of course, that will be music to the ears of Celtic fans who want to see the manager remain at the club as long as possible.

It goes without saying that taking the Everton job would be a risk for any manager at this point of time. The club simply do not seem to be in a great position right now, and avoiding relegation will be a tough task.
