Things seem to be heating up in the winter transfer window for Celtic. The club completed three signings early, by bringing in Alistair Johnston, Yuki Kobayashi and Tomoki Iwata. And if things go according to plan, the Hoops might welcome Oh Hyeon-gyu to Glasgow soon as well. On the other hand, there could possibly be a surprise exit or two on the way this month too.

Of course, the duo of Giorgos Giakoumakis and Josip Juranovic have been linked with transfer exits heavily for weeks now, and it would not be a shock if either or both of them departed Parkhead this month.

But now, it looks like Moritz Jenz could potentially end up leaving the club as well, and is having a look at his options.

As tweeted out by Anthony Joseph, Jenz could leave the club in this window. The centre-back, who is on a season-long loan from Lorient, is understood to be exploring his options and a number of teams in Germany are interested in the defender.

Jenz joined the club from Lorient on loan in the summer, and seemed to have a clear role in the team early on in the campaign, as Carl Starfelt struggled to remain fit.

It must also be said that he did a good job when given the chance. But since then, Starfelt has returned to action. On the other hand, Kobayashi has joined the club as well and might already be higher than Jenz in the pecking order, having impressed on his debut.

Thus, while Jenz has made no secret of his love for Celtic, it looks like there is a possibility that he could end up departing Parkhead this month.

Of course, Stephen Welsh has been linked with a move away recently as well, and let’s see what the future holds for the club at centre-back.
