Celtic legend, Scott Brown, took his first steps into management this season by taking on the Fleetwood Town job, in the English League One. And it is safe to say that he has already impressed down South. The club might be sitting at 17th in the league table but they have made it to the fourth round of the FA Cup, defeating QPR along the way.

Thus, it is safe to say that Brown is certainly showing his abilities as a manager after a legendary playing career, most of which was spent captaining Celtic. It is also worth remembering that last season, Fleetwood Town had finished 20th. Thus, their position this time around should not come as a major surprise.

And it looks like Brown is now starting to build the squad in his vision as well, with one Celtic player on the way to the League One club.

As reported by the Daily Record, Scott Robertson is set to sign for Fleetwood Town. He completed a medical yesterday. His relationship with Brown was the deal clincher.

Robertson was very highly rated while coming through the ranks at Celtic but was never able to make his mark at the senior level.

He had a couple of good spells away on loan, but it never really translated into chances for the first-team at Celtic.

Robertson was clearly not a major part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans at Celtic and as a result, leaving the club and joining a side where he will get more regular playing time might be the best path for him.

While a deal is not official yet, it looks like only a matter of time before Robertson is announced as a Fleetwood Town player and reunites with Broony.
