Several Celtic players have been linked with moves away from Parkhead to the Premier League in recent times. Josip Juranovic is rumoured to have interested clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea, West Ham United and others. On the other hand, there was believed to be interest in Giorgos Giakoumakis from England as well although Urawa Red Diamonds looks like his most likely destination now. Many English clubs seem to be eyeing Matt O’Riley as well.

Recently, rumours broke out that Daizen Maeda had raised the interest of Southampton, following his brilliant run of form. Interestingly, it does not look like he is the only winger that the Saints have their eyes on at the moment.

It appears that Abada is on their radar as well, as they sit at the bottom of the Premier League table and look to avoid relegation.

As reported by the Daily Record, Southampton are continuing to monitor the situation of Abada and the Israeli international was watched by the Premier League club at Hampden Park. The Saints have noticed that the winger has not gotten regular playing time recently.

Another Celtic winger is being linked with move to the Premier League

Abada had been signed by Celtic in the summer of 2021 and almost carried the team at times, during the first few months of Ange Postecoglou’s run as manager, when they were struggling for form.

His output has remained great throughout his time at Celtic. According to stats from Transfermarkt, Abada has scored 24 goals and provided 15 assists in 83 appearances for the club, while playing 4564 minutes of football in total.

It does feel like he has not been given enough chances lately, when you consider how much he has contributed on the pitch. But at the same time, that is the level of competition in this current Celtic side.
