Celtic have had a lot of highly rated young players in their ranks over the recent years. We have seen Ben Doak join Liverpool and ended up making his first-team debut for Jurgen Klopp’s side recently, at just 17 years of age. He had also appeared for the Hoops at the senior level before leaving Parkhead.
Thus, there is very little doubt that Doak is a special talent. Unfortunately, Celtic were unable to keep hold of him and many other highly rated wonderkids in recent times, as they have gone on to leave for various clubs across Europe.
One of their most highly rated players in the current youth ranks is Rocco Vata, who was handed his senior debut for Celtic recently as well, as he came on as a second-half substitute in the game against Hibernian.
The son of former Celtic star, Rudi Vata, the youngster must have been delighted to take his first step in senior football at just 17. And it looks like he is already attracting the interest of clubs down south.
West Ham United and Crystal Palace linked with Celtic wonderkid
As tweeted out by Nicolo Schira, West Ham United and Crystal Palace are interested in Vata:
🚨 Excl. - #WestHam and #CrystalPalace are interested in #Celtic’s young talent Rocco #Vata (born in 2005). His contract with Celtic expires in 2024, even if the scottish club would like to extend it. #transfers #WHUFC #CPFC

Of course, clubs from the Premier League being interested in youngsters is always worrying news for Celtic to a certain degree, as they have the ability to attract wonderkids.
It remains to be seen if things take a twist with Vata in the near future or not. At this moment, he has been in stunning form for Celtic B and recently made his debut for the first-team as well, as a reward for his excellent performances at the developmental levels.
There is no doubt that Vata is a top talent, and the sky seems to be the limit for him, if he can continue his development.
