Celtic have a number of players in their ranks, who are being linked with a move away from the club this month. Till now, nothing has materialised but rumours continue to do the rounds. With almost three weeks still left in the window, let’s see how things transpire and it looks like one star is drawing the interest of none other than Jose Mourinho, currently the manager of AS Roma.

Out of all the players who have been linked with exits recently, the one who should be most in demand is Josip Juranovic. The right-back has been a starter for Celtic since he arrived in the summer of 2021. On the other hand, he starred at the World Cup as well.

Juranovic’s stock skyrocketed after he was arguably the best right-back at the World Cup and helped Croatia to a third place finish in the tournament. Since then, he has been linked with European giants like Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and several others. But interestingly, nothing concrete has happened yet.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Daily Record), Juranovic is top of Mourinho’s right-back wishlist this month, with Hamari Traore of Rennes named as a potential alternative for AS Roma.

It will be interesting to see how things work out for Juranovic moving forward, although his Parkhead exit this month seems almost inevitable.

While he has been linked with several top clubs, a move away has not taken place yet. Surprisingly, rumours had broken out recently that he was closing in on a move to Monza, which did not make a lot of sense for either Celtic or Juranovic himself.

Now, it remains to be seen if AS Roma end up making a move for Juranovic or not, in the ongoing January transfer window.
