Celtic came out of the Glasgow Derby at Ibrox with a decent 2-2 draw and their nine point lead in tact. The games keep coming thick and fast though. Almost every match is important for the Hoops moving forward. The next is against Kilmarnock at Parkhead, before they face Derek McInnes’ team at Hampden Park a week later in the Scottish League Cup semi-final. Then there is another home league game, against St Mirren, before a Scottish Cup tie vs Greenock Morton.

Celtic could potentially be without one of their most in-form players for all of those games though in the form of Greg Taylor.

Taylor ended up suffering an injury in the first-half against the Rangers at Ibrox, and many view it as the turning point of the game. Josip Juranovic was brought on as his replacement but he struggled on the day.

Now, it remains to be seen when Taylor will be back and it looks like it will at least be a couple of weeks that he misses through injury. As reported by The National, Ange Postecoglou said about his star left-back’s situation:

"“Greg [Taylor] has got a slight hamstring injury and he’ll have a scan. It’s not too serious but he will definitely miss a couple of weeks.“He’s the only one out from the game. In terms of the ones returning, they are all closer but none of them are available for tomorrow. It’s really just Greg out.”"

It looks like it is not a serious injury for Taylor which is the most important thing. But with how fast the season is moving, even a couple of weeks is a long space of time relatively.

One can only hope that Alexandro Bernabei and Juranovic are able to fill in the gap left behind by Taylor in the starting XI.

Of course, this just goes on to show how impressively he has improved in recent times. Before the arrival of Postecoglou as manager, Taylor was viewed as the weak link of the team. Certainly not anymore. Let’s hope he is back on the pitch as soon as possible.
