Celtic have been one of the most enjoyable teams to watch in Europe during the time of Ange Postecoglou as manager. Thus, it is only natural that a number of their players have caught the attention of clubs abroad. Amongst them, it seems like Josip Juranovic is the most in demand, following his sensational World Cup campaign with the Croatia national team.

Croatia finished third at the World Cup and Juranovic was a key reason behind that run, as the Celtic player was arguably the best right-back in the tournament.

Thus, it should come as no surprise that Juranovic has been linked with a wide number of clubs in recent times. Names like Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and several others have been mentioned as those interested in the Croatian’s signature. Yet, it looks like the giants of European football are yet to launch a transfer bid for him.

On the other hand, as reported by TUTTOmercatoWEB, Espanyol has made a concrete offer for Juranovic.

La Liga club have reportedly made concrete offer for Celtic player

Espanyol currently find themselves in a battle to avoid relegation from La Liga. As a result, it is hard to imagine that Juranovic would end up there while being linked with some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Juranovic joining Espanyol seems extremely unlikely. But then, stranger things have happened in football, so never say never.

There does seem to be a feeling of inevitability about Juranovic leaving Celtic this month though. Let’s see how things turn out in that regard.

The performance of Alistair Johnston in the Glasgow Derby against the Rangers, has provided Celtic fans with hope that they have a right-back in their ranks, capable of replacing Juranovic, if the Croatian was to leave in the ongoing January transfer window.
