Celtic have had their fair share of injury problems this season and if there were any hopes that things would improve after the World Cup break then the first few games have proven that that won’t be the case. Firstly, Anthony Ralston ended up picking an injury. While it isn’t believed to be anything serious, he has missed the last few games and it remains to be seen when he will be back.

Ralston’s absence might not turn out to be a huge problem for the club though, considering the fact that Josip Juranovic is back from the World Cup break and Alistair Johnston was immensely impressive in his debut for Celtic with his performance vs Rangers.

The left-hand side of the pitch could turn out to be a worry moving forward though after Greg Taylor got injured in the first half of the game against the Rangers.

Taylor had to be forced off and replaced by Juranovic, with the Croatian putting in a poor performance on the day. On the other hand, there has not been much in terms of updates when it comes to the the Scottish left-back’s situation since the game.

It might not be before the next press conference that Celtic fans get a clearer idea of when we could see Taylor back in action once again. The rumour mill has certainly stayed quiet regarding the matter. One can only hope that he will be back soon and it is not a long-term problem.

The timing of his issue is terrible as Taylor was in the form of his life at this point of time and playing brilliantly.

Alexandro Bernabei does not seem to be capable of filling in his shoes at the moment, with the Argentine yet to establish himself in Scottish football since his summer arrival.

On the other hand, fans will be hoping that Juranovic’s poor performance vs Rangers was just a one-off.
