Celtic had the chance to end the title race for all intents and purposes, when they took on the Rangers at Ibrox. With Daizen Maeda’s goal separating the two sides at half-time, there was hope that they were well on their way to do just that. The game changed after the break though, and it was Michael Beale’s side who turned it around and went 2-1 up, only for Kyogo’s late goal to earn the Hoops a draw and make sure that the 9-point lead was maintained.

Considering how some of the players performed on the day, a draw was actually a decent result for Celtic. Of course, there was VAR controversy as well, but most fans went into the game expecting that.

One player whose performance disappointed massively is Josip Juranovic. The Croatian had been a standout at the World Cup but looked completely lost here.

The fact that he has been constantly linked with a move away for the past month or so did not help his case either, as many fans felt that his head just was not in the game on this occasion.

Chris Sutton tweeted out after the game:

And there were no lack of fans who agreed with him when it came to Juranovic:

On a much more positive note, Alistair Johnston did impress on the day. A lot of fans were uncertain when he was given the start over Juranovic but he proved that he deserved his place in the starting XI.

In the case of Juranovic, he had started on the bench. But the momentum of the game started to swing when he was brought on in place of the injured Greg Taylor early on in the first half, with Celtic leading 1-0 at that point of time.
