It is safe to say that Celtic’s squad is stacked at this point of time, as the club have continuously strengthened during the time of Ange Postecoglou as manager. Of course, that has produced brilliant results on the pitch and the turnaround that the Hoops have made since that disastrous 2020/21 campaign has been nothing short of sensational.

At the same time though, there have been some drawbacks involved with the entire situation as well, with one being the fact that the club’s youngsters have found it difficult to get playing time ahead of the more established new arrivals.

As a result, the best path for them to get regular playing time at the senior level at the moment might be to go out on loan.

And as reported by Football Scotland, Inverness have enquired about Joey Dawson and whether or not the Hoops would be willing to sanction a loan move for the remainder of the campaign. English clubs are believed to be keeping a close eye on the youngster as well.

It is safe to say that Dawson has been in red-hot form at the Celtic B level. But that has not converted into playing time for the first-team.

Dawson has only made one appearance at the senior level for Celtic till now and at 19 years of age, it might be time for him to start playing in the senior game more often.

The best way to do that would be to go out on loan to a club where he will be getting regular playing time. And perhaps Scottish Championship side, Inverness, could be a good place to do that.

They are not pushing for promotion and find themselves firmly in the middle of the Championship and in the midst of a poor run. Thus, the club could do with a spark and perhaps Dawson could provide that.
