Bayern Munich interested in signing Celtic wonderkid

Celtic have a number of players in their ranks who seem to be catching the eye of some of the biggest clubs in Europe. Josip Juranovic has been linked with the likes of Chelsea, Barcelona and several others after a stunning World Cup campaign. On the other hand, clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Arsenal are believed to be keeping an eye on Matt O’Riley. And now, it looks like the time has come to add another name to that list.

Celtic have had a tough time bringing through youth stars into the first-team in recent years. But there are high hopes that Rocco Vata will be able to make the jump in the near future.

The son of former Celtic star, Rudi Vata, he made his first-team debut for the Hoops against Hibernian, coming on as a second half substitute.

It is safe to say that there are high expectations around the youngster. And it appears that clubs around Europe are already taking notice. As reported by TUTTOmercatoWEB, many observers were present for him, like Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid. On the other hand, there is interest from some top Serie A clubs as well.

Alongside Bosun Lawal, Vata has been one of the standouts of the Celtic B team and both youngsters are believed to be knocking on the first-team door.

Vata got to make his debut against Hibernian recently and it was definitely a reward for his strong performances at the developmental level.

One can only hope that he decides to remain at Celtic for the foreseeable future and tries to make his mark on the first-team level. If he is successful in doing that, there will be no lack of interest in his signature later on either.
