Liel Abada is the latest Celtic player to be linked with a move away from Parkhead. The Israeli international has impressed during his time at Parkhead, having joined in the summer of 2021, and it looks like he has managed to catch the eye of clubs down south. It remains to be seen if any teams end up making a move for him or not.
Abada might not have been a nailed on starter at Celtic but he is been an important part of the squad without a shadow of a doubt, and is eventually expected to become a big part of the starting XI.
It is important to remember that he is still just 21 years of age at the end of the day and has already made his presence felt at Parkhead. And as he gains more experience, he is only expected to get better.
Thus, it might not be the right time for Celtic to part ways with Abada or for the youngster to leave, as he has been told that he is not ready for England yet. As reported by Football Insider, Frank McAvennie said:
"“I do not think he is ready for England yet.“I think Ange is looking after him, bringing him in and taking him out. He is going to be a big-time player.“He is only 21, I do not know if he would control a place at any team down in England. The way he is progressing he will want to go to the big ones. He will not get to the big ones yet.“If he goes to a big team he is not going to get a game yet. So why would he not want to stay, learn his trade at a bigger club than most down in England. I would suggest that he stays because he is playing well.“"
Abada sent clear message amid rumours linking him with a Celtic exit
It is safe to say that Celtic is the best place for Abada to continue his development. He is just 21 and will get plenty of time to make a move down south when he is ready to go there and make an impact. Right now, that might not be the case.
The Israeli international is an exceptional talent, especially when it comes to his effectiveness in the final third of the pitch. He is a winger with the instincts of a striker in the box.
But at the same time, there are a number of areas where he still needs to improve and polish up. So, Abada staying at Celtic for the time being would be the best for him. He is playing regular football in a good attacking team at a high level and is already settled at the club as well.
