A number of Celtic players have been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent times. Josip Juranovic is being linked with giants like Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and more. Matt O’Riley has also been linked with some of the biggest clubs down south like Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle United and others. And rumours have suggested that there is interest in Giorgos Giakoumakis from English sides as well.
And now, it looks another name has been added to the list of Celtic stars, who could potentially depart for the Premier League in the future. It is none other than Liel Abada.
Still just 21 years of age, Abada is not a nailed on starter for Celtic yet but he definitely contributes to the side regularly and has proven to be effective whenever he is on the pitch. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 24 goals and provided 15 assists in 78 appearances for the Hoops while playing just 4401 minutes of football in total.
Yes, that is 39 goal contributions in 4401 minutes of football for a 21-year-old winger. Naturally, it looks like clubs down south have taken notice.
Another Celtic player linked with future move to Premier League
As tweeted out by Fabrizio Romano, Premier League clubs are following Abada for the future. Celtic consider him as a key player and want to keep him at all costs.
It is safe to say that Abada has the potential to be a special, special player. Yes, there are certain areas of his game, which still need improvement. That is natural though for someone who turned 21 years of age just a couple of months back.
His ability to be effective in the final third of the pitch is world-class though and often does not get the credit that it deserves. One would expect the Israeli international to develop into a regular starter for Celtic in the not too distant future.
