Celtic managed to come out of the game against Livingston with a 2-1 win in order to maintain their 9-point gap at the top of the table. The Hoops’ recent performances have left quite a bit to be desired but the club have managed to continue racking up the wins and points. The January transfer window does come with a few potential worries though.
One of them is the future of Giorgos Giakoumakis at the club. Some rumours have suggested that the Greek international is considering an exit after failing to agree an improved deal with the Hoops and has changed agents recently. There have been suggestions that he does not like the Scottish weather either.
Giakoumakis is a key part of this Celtic team though and him leaving in the middle of the season would be a cause for worry.
Amidst all this, Giakoumakis has made a cryptic post on Instagram. On his story, he shared a picture of himself coming on as a substitute, accompanied by a revolving hour glass emoji.

While there is nothing extraordinary about the picture that he shared on his Instagram story, one has to wonder what the revolving hour glass is all about, especially when you take into account the fact that he has been heavily linked with an exit in recent weeks.
Does it signify that time is running out? Or is it just a matter of fans reading too much into something simple? Who knows!
One thing is for sure though, Celtic cannot afford to let Giakoumakis leave without bringing in a striker with a similar profile as him, because the club do not have anybody else like the Greek forward. They have been linked with Cho Gue-sung, and it remains to be seen if that leads anywhere.
