Andres Iniesta is without doubt one of the greatest players ever to lace on a pair of football boots. He enjoyed a legendary career at Barcelona before moving to Japan a few years back to continue on at Vissel Kobe. Most fans had expected it to be a short stop for the Spaniard but surprisingly, he has now spent four-and-a-half years there. During this period of time, he played alongside current Celtic star, Kyogo Furuhashi, and has some great things to say about the Japanese forward.

Kyogo has been an absolute revelation since arriving at Celtic and quickly become one of the club’s most important players.

Yes, some questions have been raised about his finishing this season but overall, nobody can claim that Kyogo has not been a spectacular signing for the club and one who set the tone for what was to come under the management of Ange Postecoglou in many ways.

It is safe to say that Iniesta rates Kyogo very highly as well. As reported by Yahoo Japan (via The Scottish Sun), the Barcelona legend said:

"“I had the opportunity to play with the best players.“For example, Samuel Eto’o, Thierry Henry, Luis Suarez, David Villa, Fernando Torres…“I also had a pretty good connection with Kyogo Furuhashi in Japan.“The important thing is to get to know each other and when to un-mark and make a pass, and the forwards strengthen the midfielders.”"

Thus, Iniesta has named Kyogo as one of his favourite players to play with, along with the likes of Eto’o, Henry, Suarez, Villa and Torres.

Of course, that does put Kyogo in some pretty esteemed company. Hopefully, he will have a great second half of the season as well.

Following the appointment of Michael Beale, the Rangers have shown some signs of life. Their performances remain as underwhelming as ever, but they have grinded out a couple of late wins, which they were not doing earlier on in the season. It does feel like a new manager bounce. Celtic might need to step it up a bit as well though, so that they can maintain their 9-point gap.
