There’s already been talk about possible Celtic exits in the upcoming transfer window. Josip Juranovic may seem the most likely to depart Parkhead next month but he is not quite certainly the only one who seems to be attracting interest from the Premier League.

Although he has still to get aby real game time in the Celtic first-team, youngster Bosun Lawal has already built up quite the reputation for himself both inside and outside the club.

Lawal has featured regularly for the Celtic B team, but Ange Postecoglou has recently been including him with the first-team squad at summer and winter training camps. He has also gotten some match experience in friendlies and also made it to the substitute bench for the win over Aberdeen on Saturday.

Thus, Lawal seems to be someone who might be closing in on breaking into the Celtic senior team. But clubs from down south might try to sign him before that even happens.

Brentford are interested in the rising Celtic youngster

As reported by the Daily Mail (via HITC), Brentford are keeping tabs on Lawal and fancy trying to bring him to West London in 2023. It looks like Pisa and Hellas Verona are both interested as well.

When signed by Celtic, Lawal was rumoured to have had interest at the time from Chelsea amongst other clubs. He’s also featured for Ireland at various youth levels.

Although it’s taken time to get this close to the Celtic first-team squad, the signs are very promising for his career. Postecoglou clearly rates the player and it’s good to see the opportunity for progression at the club.

Thus, it might not be the right time for Lawal to consider moving  back to England, when he seems so close to getting his breakthrough at Parkhead. If he can impress in the Hoops, several more doors will open up in the future.
