Josip Juranovic’s Celtic exit feels like a matter of when and not if. The full-back had a wonderful World Cup with the Croatian national team, as they reached the semi-finals of the competition. He was arguably the best right-back in the entire tournament and as a result, appears to have caught the eye of some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

European giants like Chelsea, Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona have been linked with Juranovic, while clubs like Torino, West Ham United, Real Sociedad and several others are believed to be after his signature as well.

It is not going to be ideal for a key starter to leave Celtic in the middle of the campaign, with three titles still to play for. But all things considered, it is more than likely that Juranovic will be on his way out this January, with his transfer value at its peak after the World Cup.

The Hoops should not have any problem getting a figure north of £15 million for him. But it looks like a chunk of that figure will be headed towards his former club, Legia Warsaw, due to a sell-on clause.

New details emerge about Juranovic’s Celtic contract and sell-on clause

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Legia Warsaw inserted a sell-on clause, believed to be 10 per cent of any profit made by Celtic due to Juranovic’s transfer.

Celtic are believed to have signed Juranovic from Legia Warsaw for a transfer fee believed to be around £2.5 million. And considering the calibre of clubs believed to be vying for his signature, it is very possible that a figure close to that might be headed the Polish club’s way in the future as well.

Celtic already have brought in another right-back in the form of Alistair Johnston, as it looks like the club are preparing for Juranovic’s eventual exit.
