Josip Juranovic is a man in demand right now after the Croatian international starred at the World Cup. It is very possible that he was the best right-back at the tournament, as he showed his quality on both ends of the pitch and was a nailed on starter for his team from the very beginning. Thus, it should come as no surprise that he is being linked with a move away from Celtic and it seems like some of the biggest clubs on the planet have an eye on him.

As a result, Celtic can expect to get a big transfer fee out of his exit and it might potentially even end up breaking the Scottish record if the stars align. But at the same time, Juranovic’s exit in the middle of the season would be far from ideal on the pitch.

Juranovic has been a starter for Celtic right from when he arrived at the club in the summer of 2021, and has played a key part in the club’s triumphs under the management of Ange Postecoglou.

The Celtic boss does not seem too concerned about the situation though. As reported by the Daily Record, when asked if the club would consider big offers for Juranovic in January, Postecoglou said:

"“Look, it’s great he’s getting noticed and that is what you want. I want our players getting noticed; if they weren’t getting noticed they wouldn’t be doing well.“He’s done well and he’s represented his country fantastically well and our football club. Aside from that mate, everything else; you started it with an if and I will give you an if back.“If it stops snowing outside I’ll be able to drive home without getting out of my car. That will be fine too.”"

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Juranovic at Celtic. It is safe to say though that clubs will try to sign him after the World Cup he has had.

Celtic signed him from Legia Warsaw around 18 months back for a transfer fee around £2.5 million, but they should have no problem getting a figure north of £15 million for the Croatian after the World Cup that he had.

Juranovic’s transfer value will be at its peak after the World Cup and the Hoops seem to be prepared for a potential exit already, having signed Canadian international, Alistair Johnston.
