Celtic’s Josip Juranovic is a man in demand after shining at the World Cup with the Croatian national team, who were able to make it to the semi-finals of the competition, before suffering defeat at the hands of Argentina. They should hold their heads high though after how well they have done and still have a third place medal to play for against Morocco.

Juranovic has been one of the standout performers at the tournament and his performances surely must have caught the eye of the world.

Clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, Real Sociedad, Torino and several others are being linked with a potential move for Juranovic. Thus, if he does end up departing Parkhead in the near future, Celtic should expect a hefty transfer fee.

As reported by the Daily Record, Celtic would be looking for at least £17 million in order to part ways with Juranovic.

If Juranovic did leave for a transfer fee around £17 million, it would immediately make him one of the most expensive exits in the history of the Scottish Premiership.

At the same time though, considering the fact that he is in the middle of his prime, has played Champions League football, won titles at Celtic and was arguably the best right-back at the World Cup this time around, and even that kind of a transfer fee might be on the low end for Juranovic, especially when you take into account the calibre of the clubs who are being linked with him.

Of course, Juranovic leaving in the middle of the season would not be ideal. At the same time though, there is a feeling of inevitability about his exit. Celtic have already signed another right-back in Alistair Johnston.
