Celtic find themselves in an interesting position right now. The club have already brought in Yuki Kobayashi and Alistair Johnston, weeks before the January transfer window has even opened, and speculation continues to grow about players who could potentially be on their way to Parkhead in the future. At the same time though, there are a few key stars who might be heading for the exit door.

No Celtic player will be in more demand this January than Josip Juranovic, who shined at the World Cup with the Croatian national team.

They made it to the semi-finals of the competition, overdelivering on expectations once again and Juranovic was one of the top performers.

One of his glittering performances came in the game against Brazil, as the Celtic right-back was successful in keeping Vinicius Jr quiet, so much so that he was substituted off in the 64th minute of the game.

Pundit makes £15 million claim about Celtic after sensational World Cup display

Tam McManus believes that Juranovic’s transfer value could have skyrocketed to £15 million after his display against Brazil, and the World Cup overall. As reported by Football Insider, he said:

"“You are maybe talking £6million before that game but he was then absolutely outstanding against Brazil.“There is no bigger shop window in the world than beating Brazil at the World Cup. Everybody has seen that performance now.“He’s 27, the peak of his career, and he kept one of the best in the world quiet in Vinicius Jr. The Celtic board will be rubbing their hands together and you are talking about £10million or £15million now, easily.”"

To be quite honest, a transfer fee of around £15 million might be on the low end of what Celtic could fetch for his signature after the World Cup that he went on to have.

Juranovic was one of the best performers in the tournament and has been linked with clubs like Manchester United, Barcelona, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur and several others.

Just for context, Calvin Bassey went to Ajax for a transfer fee believed to be around €26.5 million when add-ons are included. Juranovic has proven himself at a higher level, has shown greater consistency and is in the middle of his prime. Thus, if his exit does not break or come close to breaking the Scottish record, then it would be disappointing.
