Celtic look set to lose Josip Juranovic to a transfer exit next month after the Croatian has caught the eye of the footballing world with his excellent performances, as his national team have reached the semi finals of the World Cup. He was even able to keep Vinicius Jr quiet in their quarter-final match against Brazil.

Thus, it is safe to say that Celtic will have a tough time keeping hold of Juranovic and rumours had already emerged weeks ago that they were ready to listen to offers for the player after the World Cup, as they had failed to agree on terms over a contract extension.

Even back then, there was believed to be interest in the Croatian’s signature and now that must have only grown after the World Cup campaign that he has ended up having.

And it looks like there are new favourites to sign Juranovic from Celtic, after their name has emerged recently in the race for the Croatian star’s signature.

New favourites emerge to sign Juranovic from Celtic after World Cup

As reported by The Sun, Barcelona have emerged as favourites to sign Juranovic according to bookmakers Coral, who have the Spanish giants 2/1 favourites to sign the Croatian.

The name of Barcelona has emerged in the last few days in the race to sign Juranovic, but clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, West Ham United and a few others have been linked with the Croatian for a while now.

Overall, it does not look like there will be any lack of top class clubs looking to sign Juranovic, if or when he does end up leaving Parkhead. January does feel like the more than likely point for that to happen though, as the Croatian’s transfer value is expected to be at its peak next month.
