It does feel like Josip Juranovic’s exit from Celtic is almost inevitable, whether it happens next month or in the summer. The club have already brought in Alistair Johnston from CF Montreal and he does feel like the replacement for the Croatian international. When it comes to interest, the likes of Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea and West Ham United have already been linked with him.

Thus, if or when Juranovic leaves Celtic, there should not be any lack of interest in his signature. The club were believed to have shelled out a transfer fee in the range of £2.5 million to sign him from Legia Warsaw in the summer of 2021 but they should not have much problem getting north of £10 million to part ways with the Croatian.

Juranovic has only raised interest in himself with his performances at the World Cup for the Croatian national team, as they have reached the quarter-finals, where they will be taking on Brazil. That will be a real test for them.

During this run, Croatia have conceded only two goals in the four games that they have played, keeping two clean sheets along the way. Juranovic has started all four games.

The interest in the signature of Juranovic only seems to be increasing. As reported by The Scottish Sun, Real Sociedad have joined the list of clubs chasing the in-demand Celtic right-back.

Real Sociedad are enjoying an excellent season this time around and currently sit at 3rd in the La Liga table, ahead of more recognised clubs like Athletic Bilbao, Atletico Madrid, Real Betis, Sevilla, Villarreal and Valencia.

It remains to be seen if Real Sociedad end up making a move for Juranovic or not. More interest in the right-back is good news for Celtic, as that only raises the expected transfer fee.
