Players leaving the Scottish Premiership for a new challenge in the Premier League has become normal over the years. And despite their prestige, history, and ability to deliver silverware constantly, Celtic have seen a number of their players depart Parkhead for the glitz and glamour of a move down south.

In the 2022 summer transfer window, several Premier League clubs were linked with Josip Juranovic. This included giants like Manchester United and Chelsea, but ultimately, the Croatian defender did stay put at Parkhead.

The Hoops were also believed to have tried to extend his current deal but it looks like the talks with Juranovic over a contract extension have led nowhere and if rumours are to be believed, Celtic are now open to listening to offers for the Croatia international.

If Juranovic was to depart Parkhead, in January or further down the line, it looks like the Premier League is going to be his most likely destination. As reported by GIVEMESPORT, journalist Dean Jones said:

"“It’ll be interesting, there is a pretty good chance that he leaves, I’m told that.“And there’s no doubt he could end up in the Premier League because there have been two or three clubs watching them over the course of the season so far.”"

Celtic player tipped to make move to the Premier League

The Croatian international has a contract with Celtic till the summer of 2026, meaning that he has many years left on his deal with the Scottish champions. Thus, while the club will not be under any pressure to let him go immediately, it would also be counterproductive to keep a player if he does not want to stay.

With Celtic signing Alistair Johnston from CF Montreal recently, it does feel like they would be willing to let Juranovic go for the right offer.

West Ham United are also rumoured to be eyeing up Juranovic as a potential replacement for Vladimir Coufal, who has been linked with Bundesliga giants, Bayer Leverkusen.

Juranovic’s departure would be a massive loss for the reigning Scottish champions. Since joining Celtic from Legia Warsaw in the summer of 2021, he has been a nailed on starter for the club and played an integral part in their Premiership and League Cup triumphs last season.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Juranovic has made 50 appearances for Celtic till now, scoring 6 goals and providing 3 assists.
