Celtic have been linked with quite a few strikers in recent times, with rumours breaking out that Giorgos Giakoumakis could be on his way out of the club after failing to agree terms over a new deal. It remains to be seen if the Greek striker ends up leaving or not, but it is safe to say that the Hoops seem to have their eyes on a few players capable of playing up top.

One of the names that has drawn the most media headlines is Cho Gue-sung and it is not hard to understand why, considering he starred for South Korea at the World Cup, scored twice against Ghana and helped them reach the knockout phases of the competition before they were eliminated at the hands of Brazil.

Thus, someone like Cho would be a glamour signing for Celtic but at the same time someone who could end up making a big impact on the first-team, considering his recent form for both club and country.

But there is another striker that they have been linked with in recent times, who knows the Scottish league well, although he has made his biggest impact down south while playing for Sunderland – Ross Stewart.

It looks like his form has caught the attention of clubs beyond the British Isles. As reported by The Sun, Stewart is a surprise target for Greek club Olympiakos.

Of course, Olympiacos are one of the biggest clubs in Greece and not many people would have thought that Stewart would one day be linked with them, back when he was playing in Scotland.

He has truly looked like a player transformed in Sunderland colours though. He was the biggest reason behind their promotion from League One last season. And according to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 5 goals and provided 3 assists in 7 appearances in the Championship this season.
