It is safe to say that there are a number of Celtic players who have improved following the arrival of Ange Postecoglou as manager. Two prime examples are the full-backs in Anthony Ralston and Greg Taylor. Both have transformed under the Australian’s management and it is impressive how far they have come in such a short span of time.

Not too long ago, both were on the fringes of the squad. Now, Taylor is the starter at left-back while Ralston is the trusted cover to Josip Juranovic, although one could argue that his performances and contributions have deserved more playing time than he has gotten.

Of course, not everybody ended up improving after Postecoglou’s appointment as Celtic manager. Albian Ajeti was one such player. The Swiss striker got some chances but was not particularly impressive. He was not helped by the fact that Kyogo and Giorgos Giakoumakis were scoring consistently ahead of him in the pecking order.

Thus, it was the right step for Ajeti to go out on loan and he has joined Austrian side, Sturm Graz. Speaking on their official website about the move, he said:

"“That was an exciting final phase in the last transfer window for me. I had several offers, but for me “play, play, play” was clearly the priority. I had a very difficult year in Scotland with very few minutes behind me and Sturm Graz opened an exciting door for me, so I almost couldn’t say no. I immediately noticed: they want to work with me here and take me to the next level.”"

Thus, it looks like it was playing time that was the priority for Ajeti as he decided to leave Parkhead in the summer.

And to be honest, it is hard to imagine that he would be playing a lot this season, despite the fact that the Hoops have faced their struggles in front of goal in recent times.

Thus, going out on loan was the right step for him. But he is not exactly shining there either. According to stats from Transfermarkt, Ajeti has scored 3 goals in 15 appearances this season. Thus, unless he improves moving forward, it is hard to imagine that the Austrian club would want to sign him on a permanent basis.
