Celtic fans must be very happy with where the team find themselves domestically. Yes, the Champions League exit and bottoming the group might have come as a disappointment but in the Premiership, the Hoops are nine points ahead of the Rangers while they are still on course to defend the Scottish League Cup as well, and will face Kilmarnock in the semi-final.

At the same time though, it is pretty clear that they are not standing still. The fact that they have announced the January transfer move of Yuki Kobayashi in November itself is proof of that. Celtic mean business.

Also, Ange Postecoglou is someone who has constantly emphasised on getting better and better. And it looks like he is living his ‘We Never Stop’ mantra every day.

As reported by the Daily Record, the Celtic boss had a clear message about getting stronger moving forward, even though his side hold a 9-point lead over the Rangers in the league, as Postecoglou said:

"“We’ll definitely be stronger. I’ve said this was the difficult period for us we’ve just been through. No doubt we’ll be stronger – we’ll need to be stronger. We can’t stand still, no matter if people are saying we’ve had a great start. I refuse to stand still.”"

Celtic boss sends clear message despite being 9 points ahead of the Rangers

It is safe to say that while Celtic might hold a big lead over the Rangers in terms of points, the Hoops were not at their blistering best in the first half of the season either.

There were far too many games that went down to the wire or that were won simply because of the incredible spirit of this team. And while this might be a special group of players who can make things like that happen time after time, they cannot always rely on it.

Thus, one can only hope that there will be more one-sided wins in the second half of the season. Of course, three points are three points, and it ultimately does not matter how they come as long as Celtic are sitting top of the table after the 38th game.
