Celtic find themselves in a great position right now. They are leading the Premiership title race by nine points, with the Rangers closer to third-placed Aberdeen than they are to the top at the moment. On the other hand, Ange Postecoglou’s side have been able to make it to the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup as well, where they will take on Kilmarnock at Hampden Park.

All in all, there has been a lot of good news for Celtic lately, and there could be more on the way, if things work out well.

Celtic star, Josip Juranovic, has been linked with a move away recently, while the club’s former right-back, Jeremie Frimpong, could be on the verge of a transfer as well. He currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen and is believed to be rated at a fee around £30 million by the German side.

Manchester United have been heavily linked with Frimpong in recent times, and it looks like their scouts have had an eye on him in recent games. As reported by GIVEMESPORT, Fabrizio Romano said:

"“They need probably a new right-back. As an opportunity on the market, Jeremie Frimpong is one of the players they are following.“They have sent their scouts multiple times to follow him, but Bayer Leverkusen will try to keep the player until the end of the season, so it’s not going to be an easy one.”"

Manchester United transfer update is great news for Celtic as well

Frimpong had left Celtic for Bayer Leverkusen at the start of last year for a transfer fee believed to be around £11.5 million. But as reported by Football Scotland, the Hoops also included a ‘significant’ sell on clause in the deal.

Thus, if a move to Manchester United did end up happening for the Dutch youngster, then it could hand Celtic a hefty windfall as well.

Now, let’s see if things work out like that. One has to admit that Frimpong has taken his game to the next level since moving to Germany. He was very highly rated while at Celtic as well, but very much a raw talent. Now, he looks like one of the best attacking full-backs in the Bundesliga and it would not be a surprise to see him fetch a big transfer fee.
