Ange Postecoglou has already hinted that some players could leave Celtic in the not too distant future. Was the manager getting the fans ready for eventual exits then? Only time shall tell. But it does look like there are big question marks over the future of Josip Juranovic, who has been a regular starter in the team since he arrived last summer from Legia Warsaw.

Juranovic will be heading to the World Cup, where he is expected to start for Croatia, and there was believed to be plenty of interest in his signature even before that.

As reported by the Daily Mail (via Daily Record), Celtic are prepared for fresh interest for Juranovic after talks over a new deal at Parkhead proved unsuccessful.

If a regular starter like Juranovic did end up leaving the club, it would without doubt prove to be a blow for Celtic. But at the same time, one would trust Postecoglou to bring in the right replacement.

Celtic star could be set to leave soon

Anthony Ralston has played very well since the arrival of Postecoglou as manager too but he has not gotten the chances that he perhaps deserved, thanks to the Croatian being ahead of him in the pecking order.

Thus, if Juranovic does end up leaving the club in the near future, it will be very interesting to see if Ralston is given his chance in the starting XI or if somebody else is brought in in order to replace the Croatian and the Scot remains the cover option.

There is no doubt that Juranovic is a key player for Celtic, and perhaps even more importantly, he has proven to be a leader since his arrival as well. But he is 27 years of age and has been linked with the likes of Atletico Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United.
