Celtic have been able to discover a lot of top quality players within a short space of time, since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou as manager. The Australian has showed a brilliant eye for talent, which has seen the club bring in the likes of Jota, Kyogo, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Matt O’Riley, Reo Hatate and several others, over the course of just two transfer windows.
Another such transfer masterstroke was the signing of Josip Juranovic from Legia Warsaw for a transfer fee believed to be around £2.5 million. That has proven to be a bargain-and-a-half for the Croatian international, who is expected to star at the World Cup.
The likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and others were linked with Juranovic over the summer. Thus, Celtic can easily expect a transfer fee north of £15 million for him, if they do decide to let him go.
It looks like they have. As reported by The Mail+, Celtic will listen to transfer bids for Juranovic. They are preparing for offers for the Croatian after the World Cup finals.
Celtic are ready to let first-team starter leave for right offer
Juranovic has been a key player for Celtic ever since he arrived at the club. But at the same time, there has been an understanding that he would be on his way out of Parkhead sooner or later.
It appears that Juranovic could end up leaving in January, especially if he ends up having a good World Cup with the Croatian national team.
Other than Juranovic, Celtic also have Anthony Ralston at right-back, who has done an incredible job under the management of Postecoglou and looked like a player transformed. But if a player of Juranovic’s calibre left the club, one would have to think that they would look to make an addition there in order to fill the void.
