Going into the World Cup break, Celtic find themselves nine points ahead of the Rangers in the title race. One of the biggest reasons behind the Hoops’ success this season domestically has been their squad depth. It is one area where they have improved drastically over the past three transfer windows.

In the first half of last season, the squad was paper thin and often Postecoglou was forced to play people out of position in order to put out a decent starting XI. The picture has changed a lot since then.

One of the positions where they are the deepest is goalkeeper. Joe Hart is the undisputed number one and he is covered by Benjamin Siegrist and Scott Bain, two very good back up options to have. On the other hand, the club have some top talents coming through their youth ranks as well.

One such player is Tobi Oluwayemi, who has already earned a lot of plaudits for his performances at the developmental levels. And now, he could be on the verge of his first move away from Parkhead.

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Celtic chiefs are expected to sanction a loan deal for Oluwayemi in January. There is believed to be major interest in both Scotland and in England.

Oluwayemi is viewed by many as the long-term number one for Celtic, but that might be quite some distance away, as he is still just 19 years of age.

So, first-team football at Parkhead might be some time away but after his impressive displays at the youth level, this might be the perfect opportunity to send him out on loan in order to get a taste of senior football and see how he adapts to that level of the game.
