Celtic just never give up, do they? Once again, Ange Postecoglou’s side found themselves with their backs against the wall when VAR awarded a penalty to Ross County. It was converted and the visitors went 1-0 ahead. It has been a hard stretch for the Hoops to be honest, and they have found themselves in difficult situations numerous times. The most impressive thing is, they seem to find a way out almost every time.

A goal from David Turnbull made it 1-1 and most sides would probably have been content with that. Going into the World Cup break seven points up. Sounds brilliant!

Celtic are not just another side though. Sead Haksabanovic struck not too long afterwards to make it 2-1 and the Bhoys hung on to their lead and the three points. That means that they are now nine points ahead of the Rangers, who could only manage a 1-1 draw vs St Mirren.

What is the secret of the Hoops’ ability to bounce back from tough in game scenarios time after time though? Well, for Ange Postecoglou, it is simple. As reported by The Celtic Way, the manager said after the game about his team’s resilience:

"“It’s character. It’s quality. They’re good football players and they’re strong characters. For any manager that’s a pretty good combination.”"

It goes without saying that Postecoglou has managed to bring together a special set of players here. Ones that the fans can be very very proud of.

The manager has always mentioned how he not only looks at the quality of the player but their character as well, when making a signing and that is shining through in these situations. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. And for Celtic, they have done so time after time.

On the final day of last season, Postecoglou had come up with his now famous ‘We Never Stop’ slogan. That rings truer today than it ever has.
