Celtic have opened up quite the gap over the Rangers in the Scottish Premiership title race and are leading the Ibrox club by 7 points right now. With just one game to go before the World Cup break, it means that they are guaranteed to go into it at least 4 points up although that could go up to as much a 10, if the results go their way.

A lot of the Rangers’ fans have been calling for the club to show Giovanni van Bronckhorst the exit door in recent times and seem to have given up on the Dutch manager. It must be pointed out though that the club have held onto Steven Gerrard in the past, even when they had fallen 13 points behind Celtic.

It is pretty clear that the Rangers will need to do something in the January transfer window though, even if they don’t show Van Bronckhorst the exit door.

Last time around, they brought in Amad from Manchester United and Aaron Ramsey from Juventus in two high-profile loan deals. Both turned out to be mistakes. Could they be set to launch a £5 million transfer bid for a rumoured Celtic target this time around.

Rangers reportedly ready to offer £5 million for Celtic transfer target

As reported by Sportsworldghana.com, Rangers are ready to offer a £5 million fee to Bristol City for the services of Antoine Semenyo in January of 2023.

Semenyo enjoyed quite the rise last season after hitting a purple patch in form and was heavily linked with a move to Celtic, although nothing transpired.

His current deal with Bristol City is set to run out soon though and the club must be keen not to see him walk out as a free agent. At the same time, it must be pointed out that his form has been nowhere near as prolific this season.
