Celtic have been very successful under the management of Ange Postecoglou, winning the Premiership and the League Cup last season. Their start this season has been very positive as well, as they seem to be vying for more silverware. Perhaps the biggest reason behind their brilliant turnaround has been their recruitment since the arrival of the Australian manager.
There have been quite a few who have impressed tremendously since arriving in Glasgow. At the same time though, that also means that clubs around Europe will be eyeing them as potential signings.
One such player is Josip Juranovic. The Croatian has been a regular at right-back for Celtic since joining in 2021 and will get the chance to raise his profile further, when he is expected to go to the World Cup later this month to represent his national team.
As reported by the Daily Mail (via Football Scotland), Celtic are now bracing themselves for bids for the right-back with interest expected to intensify after the World Cup.
Could the international end up leaving Celtic after the World Cup?
Juranovic was already linked with a move away from Parkhead in the summer, with clubs like Atletico Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United, rumoured to be keeping an eye on the Croatian. A move did not transpire though.
That could very well change if Juranovic manages to impress at the World Cup while representing Croatia, who are considered as one of the dark horses at the tournament.
Celtic do have a decent back up option to Juranovic in the form of Anthony Ralston, who has enjoyed a brilliant transformation under the management of Postecoglou and has perhaps been unlucky not to get more chances, thanks to the presence of Juranovic in the side. Even then, if the Croatian did indeed leave, the Hoops will need to bring in reinforcements.
