Rangers are trying to catch up with Celtic in the Premiership title race. A win over Aberdeen means that they are now just one point behind the Hoops, but Ange Postecoglou’s side do have a game in hand, which will come away against Livingston, a difficult place to travel to without a shadow of a doubt.

Let’s see how that trip goes for the Hoops, but it is safe to say that Giovanni van Bronckhorst is under much more pressure at the moment than Postecoglou.

There have been audible booing at Ibrox in recent games there and the 4-1 win over Aberdeen was a rare convincing win from the Rangers, even though it was the Dons who had taken the lead.

One amongst the many problems that Van Bronckhorst is facing right now is injuries. A number of the Rangers’ players are out injured. It was only recently that Kemar Roofe had returned from a spell on the sidelines but now, it looks like he is back on the shelf. As reported by The Scotsman, the Dutch manager said about the striker:

"“Kemar was also not involved on Wednesday (against Napoli) but he picked up another injury so we won’t have him for a couple of weeks. It is the same area but a different injury.“First, it is very frustrating for Kemar. He has had a history of injuries since he came to this club, not only with me but also previously.“So for me that is the most frustrating thing for Kemar himself because he works hard, he is trying every time to come back and whenever he is back, it is always a set-back within a couple of weeks and that is very frustrating for him.”"

Roofe’s time at Ibrox has been filled with a number of injuries. Thus, while his goalscoring record is decent, he is not someone that they can rely upon.

Celtic will already be confident of their chances of beating the Ibrox side when they meet over the course of the season, having already gotten a 4-0 win over them in the first Glasgow Derby of the season.

For now though, Celtic’s focus should be on picking up as many wins as possible, with the full concentration back on domestic competitions, having already been knocked out from Europe, as the Hoops are guaranteed to finish bottom of their Champions League group.
