Sead Haksabanovic has been a shining light for Celtic in recent weeks even as those around him have struggled to make their mark on the team. The summer signing was brilliant in the game vs RB Leipzig, and then, put up a great display against Hibernian as well. Interestingly though, he was taken off at half-time at the weekend, which led to fears that he had picked up an injury.

Celtic have had their battles with injury problems in recent weeks with a number of key players like Jota, Callum McGregor and Carl Starfelt out right now. Thus, they cannot really afford another one, especially someone like Haksabanovic, who is in top form at the moment.

There is some positive news in this regard though as it looks like Haksabanovic is fine. So it looks like he should be good to go when Celtic face Motherwell at Fir Park in the Scottish League Cup quarter-final.

As reported by The Herald, Ange Postecoglou said regarding the player’s situation:

"“Sead Haksabanovic is fine. He could have played [on] but we were in control of the game and it made sense to take him off at half-time.”"

Haksabanovic might have endured a slow start at Celtic following his arrival from Rubin Kazan in the summer but he has certainly come into his own in recent weeks.

So much so that he has arguably been their best player over the past few games and if he continues to play like this, it would be very hard for the manager to keep him out of the starting XI.

Haksabanovic has just looked a class apart at times. He is excellent with the ball at his feet, rarely gives it away, can find his teammates brilliantly on occasions and once he settles into the Scottish game better, hopefully he will start finding the back of the net as well.
