When Celtic signed Joe Hart, it was not a popular move. The Englishman had not been a first-team star for years and was the back up goalkeeper at Tottenham Hotspur, and on the verge of losing that spot as well. On the other hand, The Hoops needed a regular between the posts, after the big move for Vasilis Barkas had failed to produce results.

Hart came in amidst a lot of raised eyebrows and proved the doubters wrong with his performances. Yes, there are still question marks over his ability with the ball at his feet, but nobody can doubt that overall, he has had a very positive impact at the club and played a key role in their recent triumphs.

Another player who proved a lot of doubters wrong recently is James Forrest. The Celtic veteran has struggled with injuries in recent years and had been completely written off a lot of the fans and the media.

Forrest showed that class is permanent with his hattrick against Hibernian though, proving that he still has a role to play at Celtic. And it certainly managed to impress Hart, who wrote on Instagram:

"All about one man today. Special player , even better person. You can’t buy loyalty… what a man, what a club"

Having first made a name for himself in League Two with Shrewsbury Town, reached the dizzying heights of Premier League glory at Manchester City, lost his place and his position at the top of the game for many years, and then returning to the spotlight at Celtic, it is safe to say that Hart has seen it all.

Thus, praise coming from him is a big deal and Forrest should definitely be delighted with the performance that he put in vs Hibernian.

A lot of eyebrows had been raised when the club handed him a long-term extension, but it is pretty clear that he still has a lot to offer.
