Celtic’s luck with injuries this season has been terrible to say the least. The Hoops are missing several key players right now like Jota, Callum McGregor, Carl Starfelt and David Turnbull, just to name a few. Thus, naturally, they have been weakened on the pitch and their performances have seen a dip.

Unfortunately, the club are going through a bad patch of form in front of goal as well at the same time, having scored just six goals from the past seven games. All these issues have compounded to produce just two wins and four losses over that period of time.

It goes without saying that Celtic must be keen to improve moving forward, especially after it became official that they were not going to be making the last 16 of the Champions League this season. Their next opponents are Hibernian, who will be visiting Parkhead today.

One boost for Celtic amid a galore of bad news is the fact that Liel Abada has recovered. The winger had been forced off the pitch in the game vs RB Leipzig and the fears had been that he could be set for a spell out on the sidelines as well. Fortunately, that will not be necessary.

As reported by The Scotsman, Ange Postecoglou said about the situation:

"“Liel is fine, he has trained.”"

Abada has missed his fair share of chances in recent times but he does remain one of the most reliable sources of goals this season. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 6 goals in 13 appearances this season. That includes a brace against the Rangers.

It is safe to say that Celtic need a big result against Hibernian in order to get some momentum back and make a statement.

Hibernian have been in decent form this season though and currently sit at third in the Premiership table. Thus, Celtic will need to be careful as well. They are a side who can definitely get a result at Parkhead on their day.
