Celtic have won just one game over their previous five across all competitions. The fact that no fan has called into question Ange Postecoglou’s position in the managerial hot seat despite that though, just goes on to show how highly the support regard him. The former Australian national team boss has truly done a remarkable job since coming in last summer.

The club had spent a long time chasing the signature of Eddie Howe and when they failed to pull it off, they quickly made a move for Postecoglou and brought him in from Yokohama F. Marinos.

Since then, he has guided a struggling Celtic side to a Premiership and League Cup double, and this time around, they have gone toe to toe with a club like Real Madrid and already have a 4-0 win over the Rangers in the bag.

Naturally, Postecoglou has drawn some interest from down South and has already been linked with clubs like Brighton & Hove Albion, Leicester City and Wolves. Thus, it has left fans worried about his long-term future at Parkhead.

As reported by GIVEMESPORT, Anthony Joseph said regarding Postecoglou:

"“I think he’s not someone who would just jump ship for the sake of it or for a few extra quid.“I think he very much sees his path as something of a success ladder. If he feels that he’s done his job at Celtic, which I don’t think he does at all because he has been talking about this as phase two of the project, then he could go.“But I know he’s very happy at Celtic and he says it himself, so it would take something huge – like a giant of football – to take him away from Celtic now.“If he’s at the end of his project, we’ll see what club he goes on to. But I’m sure, at the moment, Celtic fans would love him to stay for as long as possible.”"

Thus, it feels like it will take a special club to pull away Postecoglou from Celtic at this point of time.

Of course, not many fans will blame Postecoglou for leaving, if an offer came from the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspur. But it would make very little sense for him to leave Parkhead in order to get involved in a relegation battle in the Premier League.

Thus, while he might continue to be linked with a move down South, every time a manager is sacked, there might not be a lot to those rumours.
