Celtic could only manage a 3-1 defeat away in Germany against RB Leipzig. It was arguably the Hoops’ worst performance of the Champions League campaign this season but they were still able to give the Bundesliga giants some worries, and if they can make the right adjustments and have some players back available, they could actually get a win or at least a draw against them at Parkhead.

At one point of time, the scores were tied at 1-1 and Celtic were very much in the game. But then Joe Hart made a meal of things at the back, giving the ball straight to a RB Leipzig player and they took the lead. Their third goal was out of the top drawer and nothing could have been done to prevent that.

Even then, Celtic were able to impress a few people including those in the opposition dug out on the day.

Emil Forsberg is an RB Leipzig legend. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has made 271 appearances for the German club, scoring 59 goals and providing 63 assists. And the Swedish international had some positive things to say about Celtic.

As reported by RB live, Forsberg said about the Scottish champions:

"“We knew that Celtic could find good solutions with the ball. We were prepared so it was a high intensity game. Celtic wanted to play fast football and we were a little impressed at first. But in the second half we brought the three points home.”"

It is safe to say that Celtic did a decent job away in Germany but the thing is that they could have done so much better.

They were given a couple of lifelines as well, as a couple of goals from RB Leipzig were scratched off but they just could not take advantage of the situation.

It remains to be seen if they are able to improve or not, when RB Leipzig come visiting Parkhead next week. Anything other than a win would pretty much spell the end of their chances of making it to the knockout phase of the competition.
