It is safe to say that Celtic did not cover themselves in glory on their away trip to Germany to take on RB Leipzig and ended up losing 3-1. The result means that they are at the bottom of their Champions League group and their hopes of qualifying to the next round of the competition are looking very, very slim from here on forward.

It is not impossible but pretty improbable to say the least. They will definitely need to rectify their mistakes and beat RB Leipzig when they come visiting Celtic Park next week for the return fixture.

Celtic were not bad on the day and put in a decent display. But they just made way too many errors, with the biggest one coming from the most experienced man on the pitch in Joe Hart.

With scores tied at 1-1 and VAR saving Celtic from conceding their second just before that, Hart would pass the ball straight to an RB Leipzig player while trying to play out from the back and it led to Andre Silva putting them ahead.

It is safe to say that former Celtic striker, Sutton, was not impressed with Hart’s mistake. As reported by the Express, he said on BT Sport:

"“It was a horror show from Hart – I don’t know what he sees there.“It was horrible from Hart wasn’t it. It really was. You can’t make mistakes like that – you have just got away with one.”"

It is safe to say that it was a huge error from Hart and one that you would not have expected from a man with so much experience at the top level of the game.

Football is funny sometimes. This was a great example of that.

Hart has been great for Celtic since joining last summer but this was not his first major mistake this season. He played his part in Josip Juranovic’s own goal in the last game against Motherwell. Thus, could it be time to give Benjamin Siegrist his shot to prove himself?
