Celtic fans must already be getting used to Ange Postecoglou being linked with Premier League clubs. The initial rumours had broken out as Graham Potter left Brighton & Hove Albion to replace Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea. It was believed that the former Australian national team boss was on the shortlist of the Seagulls, but they ultimately went a different route.

Then Postecoglou was linked with a move to Leicester City, a club managed by former Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers. Despite his FA Cup and Community Shield win with the Foxes, he finds himself in a difficult position right now, as they sit at the bottom of the Premier League table with just a point.

Now, Wolverhampton Wanderers are being linked with Postecoglou as well, as they showed Bruno Lage the exit door after a poor start to the season.

But as reported by The Telegraph (via The Scotsman), Postecoglou has been discussed as an option but Molineux bosses have doubts over being able to lure him away from Parkhead at this stage of the season.

Celtic handed massive Postecoglou to Wolves boost

Thus, it appears that Wolves already have doubts over their ability to lure Postecoglou away from Celtic, even before the rumours have really started off the ground.

It is safe to say that keeping Postecoglou at the club is very important for Celtic. There is zero doubt that he is a doubt manager. His success while continuing to play some very good football deserves the world of credit and he has earned it.

If he did leave for Wolves, it would mean that he would have to get them out of the relegation zone. On the other hand, he can compete for silverware and in the Champions League if he stays on at Celtic. Thus, expect the former Australian national team boss to stay on in Glasgow.
