Celtic handed double injury boost after international break
This international break was not a good one for Celtic, as a number of their players picked up injury concerns. These could not have come at a worse time either, as Ange Postecoglou’s side look to find some form. They have not won over their past three games, two defeats and a draw, and have scored only once during that period of time and that too an own goal.
Thus, it is safe to say that Celtic need to turn it around straight after the international break. The 2-0 defeat vs St Mirren allowed the Rangers to cut the lead in the Premiership to just two points. The Hoops cannot afford another slip up anytime soon.
At this point of time, it appears that they have been handed a timely double injury boost coming out of the international break.
As reported by 67 Hail Hail, both Daizen Maeda and David Turnbull have been spotted training amongst their teammates in the club’s ‘Lennoxtown Unfiltered’ series.
Celtic have been handed a double injury boost coming out of the international break
Maeda has not been at the top of his game this season and is yet to find the back of the net in the league till now. He has also had some high profile misses recently, most prominently in the game vs Real Madrid, and could do with a bit of a confidence boost.
On the other hand, Turnbull does not seem to be a regular starter for Celtic at this point of time ahead of the likes of Callum McGregor, Matt O’Riley and Reo Hatate, but he certainly has a role to play in this side.
Thus, both of them being back in training is a boost for the Hoops for sure and it remains to be seen if they end up playing in the next game.
Maeda had picked up a knock on international duty with Japan while Turnbull was believed to have picked one in the game vs St Mirren.
