It goes without saying that Celtic have a very strong squad at the moment, which is evident from the fact that they are the defending Premiership and League Cup champions, are leading the league table right now and have been able to hold their own against teams like Real Madrid and Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.

At the same time though, the club must be prepared for the future as well and look to bring in players through their youth system into the first-team picture, something that they have not been very successful in doing over the recent years.

A large part of that is down to the fact that a number of their most talented youngsters have been signed by other clubs across Europe before they are even able to rise up through the ranks and make it into the first-team picture. Hopefully, the Hoops will find a way to stop that.

One player who has been making an impression for Celtic B in the Lowland League this season is Bruno Davidson and it looks like the Hoops are very keen to keep hold of the the in-form winger.

Celtic are ready to offer new contract to in-form winger

As reported by the Daily Record, Celtic are set to open contract talks over the coming weeks to extend his current deal at Parkhead beyond the summer.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Davidson has scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists in 7 Lowland League appearances this season.

He also seems to have caught the eye of Canada’s Under-20s side, who are believed to be looking to cap him after his recent displays.

At 18 years of age, Davidson has plenty of time on his side to develop further and hopefully, we can see him in the Celtic first-team picture. It is believed that the club beat out the likes of Liverpool and Leicester City in the race for his signature, when they signed him from famed Edinburgh boys club Hutchison-Vale.
