One of the biggest attractions about Celtic as a football club is their incredible support. The Hoops are truly one of the best in the world in this department, even though the realities of the financial situation of Scottish clubs mean that they cannot compete with a lot of European giants on the pitch for the biggest prizes.

In fact, the reaction of some of the Real Madrid players, who have played everywhere and won everything, just goes on to show how special the atmosphere truly is and it blows away even the best players in the history of the game.

And now, they are trending ahead of the likes of Real Madrid, Liverpool and their Glasgow rivals, Rangers, in terms of attendances.

As reported by The Herald, Celtic are 13th on the list of the best supported clubs in terms of average attendance this season (58,745). The clubs ahead of them are Barcelona (83,383), Borussia Dortmund (80, 783), Bayern Munich (75, 008), Manchester United (76, 674), AC Milan (72, 169), Inter Milan (70, 365), Marseille (62, 877), West Ham United (62, 477), Schalke 04 (62, 194), Tottenham Hotspur (61, 194), AS Roma (60, 094) and Arsenal (60,070).

Celtic fans finish ahead of the likes of Real Madrid, Liverpool and of course, Rangers

That is quite the list to be a part of for sure and just goes on to show how well the Hoops have been supported by the fans.

Of course, there have been quite a few factors which have helped in this regard as well. The biggest is the winning and attractive style of football that they have been playing under the management of Ange Postecoglou. It has been a breath of fresh air and made the fans want to go to the stadium.

The second is of course, the carrot that is the Champions League and the big games that come with it.

Considering the capacity of Celtic Park, it is impossible for them to finish much higher on this list than a spot or two.
