With how well Celtic have played over the past couple of seasons under the management of Ange Postecoglou, it would be no surprise if Premier League clubs are monitoring a number of their players. In fact, it was impressive that the Hoops managed to hold onto most of their stars this summer, except for Tom Rogic and Nir Bitton, who chose to look for a different challenge after almost a decade at Parkhead.

One of the players who has been linked with a possible move to the Premier League recently is Liel Abada, even though he has not quite nailed down his spot in the Celtic starting XI till now.

But Abada is still just 20 years of age and his numbers for Celtic are fantastic. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 6 goals and provided an assist in 10 appearances this season, while playing 439 minutes of football in total.

Thus, it is not hard to understand why Premier League clubs might hold an interest in the youngster, whose ceiling seems to be incredibly high even though there are some areas that he still needs to work on to be a sure shot Celtic starter.

Celtic star dismisses Premier League transfer talk

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Abada told Mako when asked about a move to England:

"“Right now I’m concentrating on the national team, not on the Premier League.“We’ll do our best (for the national side).“There’s still a lot of work and the most important thing is to be humble, there are players and coaches who have been through a lot in their careers.“I’m only trying to play a part in victory.”"

Abada is still just 20 years of age and he has plenty of time on his hands, if he does want to make the move down South some day.

At the moment though, Celtic seems like the perfect place for him to deliver. Even most fans expect players like Jota to move on at some point in the future to one of the big five European leagues and that would be Abada’s time to come in and make his presence felt as a starter at Celtic.
