The mood in the Celtic camp might not be at its peak right now. They are coming off of a 2-0 defeat against St Mirren, a result that nobody had seen coming, especially after the performances that they have been putting in the Champions League against top-class opposition. The Hoops will need to bounce back from this loss.

Hopefully, it will work as a wake up call for the players. The league season is 38 games long and there is no room for complacency. Just one bad result and the Rangers are firmly back in the title race, something that had been questionable just 24 hours prior to that.

At the same time though, it is also important to look at the good things that the club have been doing in recent weeks and take confidence from that.

One player who has managed to stand out this season is Reo Hatate. While there are still some holes in his game, overall, when he is performing, he is absolutely a superb player. His first time volley pass against Real Madrid was out of this world and even UEFA Champions League’s official account posted the video on Twitter:

The technical ability required to do that is just incredible and Hatate just makes it look so simple on this occasion.

Josip Juranovic throws the ball in and without even taking a first touch, Hatate plays a cross-field volleyed pass straight at the feet of Jota. That is the kind of ability that the Japanese midfielder possesses.

It is no wonder that Celtic fans rate him so highly and hopefully we will consistently get to see the best of him this season, something that did not happen the last time around as he looked extremely fatigued towards the end of the campaign.
